The dynamics in cloud transformation

ARTICLE

According to a recent report from Nasdaq, Cloud investment have grown past years. There is a myriad of benefits, as mentioned above, such as cost, scale, and productivity, which are driving the growth behind the increasing use of cloud computing in IT infrastructure. Price, however, may be the biggest reason that organizations are switching from on-premise infrastructure to cloud deployments.

Additionally, the demand for low latency, high performance in business applications also increase the preference for localized Cloud facilities. For example, Qanion™’s cloud-based platform recognizes these two concerns and allows users to add localized business applications as their needs grow and evolve.

The result for our clients is having a global front-end, which provides an expanded reach, and a local backend, which helps to allay security concerns and give peace of mind. Businesses are increasingly deploying this twin global-local model. Further advantages to a hybrid Cloud system for businesses include having their IT assets together in a single network, and better integration between the front office and the back office systems.

Consumptive billing practices

A parallel trend is the offering of such hybrid Cloud models under ‘consumptive billing arrangements’; that is, customers are billed according to their consumption of Cloud services. We think that this is the way forward for SMEs and SMBs, as it allows them to defray expenses and be more efficient with their budgets. As mentioned earlier, the Qanion™ platform’s applications are on an add-on basis – users only pay what for the apps they use!

A clear competitive advantage is needed for local service providers to succeed

The report has also raised interesting and relevant insights on where the local service provider stands in relation to global players, such as Microsoft’s Azure and the ubiquitously known Amazon Web Services (AWS). It seems that without the massive scale available to these big players, local service providers need to possess a clear, concrete ‘localized differentiator;. In other words, they require a niche that is out of reach of the global players. This is extremely important given that they already have credible onshore presences in many locations.

While Cembro™ is a technology-based business developer, as a firm, we differentiate ourselves through our delivery of advisory and implementation services. For example, we offer a proprietary business intelligence tool, Qanion™ Analytics, that measures a business’ readiness for Cloud adoption, and identify operational gaps such that any follow-on technology solutions are guaranteed to be effective.

In today’s rapidly growing cloud sector where there is a myriad of different technical solutions appearing in the market, this approach helps our clients to save money in the long run. For more click on Cembro Assessment Methodology and Cloud readiness, respectively.

To us, it’s about continually improving our value proposition to the SME, SMB and large Enterprises market to keep ourselves ahead of the curve (and competition).

Cembro™ – Boosting business with technology
